But some would argue that you should instead watch the films according to the MCU’s internal chronology: after all, the WW II–set Captain America: The First Avenger takes place decades before Tony Stark ever set foot inside the Iron Man suit. In these ever-complicated and divisive times, there are-believe it or not-two prevailing schools of thought when it comes to the order in which you should watch the films that comprise the Marvel Cinematic Universe (as well as its companion TV series).
